This year, Jameel had TWO lovely ladies on his arm for the annual Father/Daughter Banquet at our church. This was Hannah's first year to attend and she was so excited to finally get to go! We found her dress at a resale shop. It even had a matching wrap (not pictured) and looked so pretty on her!
It took us a long time to find a dress for Alyssa. We finally found one (on sale - YES!) at JC Penney. (Yes, you read that correctly!) It was a tad see-through, so we bought a full-length satiny night gown (on sale for $8) and I sewed it into the inside as a lining. We found the matching scarf at Accessory City for $5. Alyssa said it was one of the most comfortable dresses she's ever worn.
Alyssa went with straightened hair for the evening. We took Hannah to a local beauty school to have them curl her hair. When we got home, we pulled some of it up in a pretty clip. Both girls looked gorgeous (even if I do say so myself).
Here's a picture of the 3 of them ready to head out the door to the banquet:
After they left, I went out to dinner with my mom for a little "mommy/daughter banquet" of our own. This is always such a fun night and a great memory for the girls of a special evening with their dad.
