While the Children Were Away...

The girls both went on a week-long, local missions trip last week, so Jameel and I had the whole house to ourselves. So what did we do? Well, we painted the living room, of course! :) We went from this dark burgundy color and yellow hallway (Burger King, anyone?)...

To this much lighter green with a grey hallway!

It's hard to tell the true color in the pictures because we use semi-gloss paint so it reflects a lot off of the lighting. However, you get the gist that it's MUCH brighter than before. I LOVE IT! The green is Sherwin Williams' "Recycled Glass" and the grey is called "Finished Fired Steel" from Walmart. See that small blank wall, though? I'm really wanting to put some vinyl Scripture art like this one on there.

And then maybe a long Scripture along the top of this wall?

What do you think? 1 Corinthians 10:31? What would you put in this space? If you like the Scripture vinyl art, have you found a great place to get them? I'd love to know about it!

Love the new colors! We just finished painting ours, too. And we used green in some of the rooms. So warm!

Oh my word!! I love it! And I love the idea of using the Scripture to decorate! We desperately need to repaint, but we're waiting on the youngest two to hit 10th grade or so...
